Description
How can you design sustainably in African countries where budgets are tight and choices for building materials are very limited? In this talk Bea Sennewald, Director of Projects at Article 25, will show how passive design principles can be used to cool buildings without air conditioning and how Article 25 addresses the challenge of minimising embodied carbon on their projects.
Article 25 is an architectural charity based in London. It is dedicated to the design and construction management of schools and hospitals in places where people don’t have access to healthcare or education. Article 25 also builds homes where communities have lost them after natural disasters.
