Emily Scoones, Chartered Senior Structural Computational Design Engineer, Ramboll
Billie Browne, Strategic Account Manager, AutoDesk
In 2015, Mahriz Zakeri, Charles Bouyssou, and their team co-founded the French start-up XtreeE - one of the early developers of large-scale 3d printing. As they developed this technology, they began exploring architectural applications using this construction method. Over the next 5 years, they would manage projects that pushed the boundary of large-scale 3D printing. In February 2021 they created Hozluli Architectes, to use what they had learned to pursue their form of architecture, through their own architectural studio.
Emily Scoones is a Chartered Senior Structural Computational Design Engineer at Ramboll, currently part of the SiteSolve team, where she is helping to deliver a new generative design offering for residential building developments to market. She has 5+ years of experience utilizing her engineering knowledge in combination with digital design skills to create solutions that add value to projects, clients, and society. In her talk, she will discuss the challenges and opportunities the AEC industry has when adopting new technology. Using her experience she will talk about some of the approaches and shifts in mindset required to help clients and companies promote and maximize the impact of innovative technologies and talent.
