AIA UK 2020 Annual General Meeting
When: Wednesday 15 January 2020, 6:30pm
Where: Herman Miller Showroom, 61 Aldwych, London WC2B 4AE
Dear Members,
We invite you to join us for the AIA UK's 2020 Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 15 January, to celebrate the year just gone by and to look to the year ahead.
A drinks and canape reception, hosted generously by our sponsor Herman Miller, will be held prior to the presentations, which will include an overview of our past and upcoming events, as well as a brief administration meeting to approve the 2019 Annual Accounts and elect the 2020 Board Officers and Directors.
The evening will also include a workplace-themed talk by Herman Miller's Bertie van Wyk on the following:
Wellbeing and Social Ergonomics in Workplace Design
A workplace that helps us initiate and regulate social interaction, and that takes into consideration factors like personal space, physical and psychological proximity, and territoriality, helps us feel better. And when we feel better, we work better.
We will explore in workshop format how social ergonomics interacts with cognitive and physical ergonomics to create a full human experience at work.
This talk is worth 1 CE Credit (TBC).
Attendance
Attendance is not mandatory, but we strongly urge you to attend this very important event and participate in the governance of the Chapter. A quorum of AIA members is required for us to fulfill our responsibilities. It is also a great opportunity to meet fellow AIA UK members, give feedback to the Board and influence the Chapter’s plans going forward. You're encouraged to bring colleagues and friends who may be interested in learning more about the chapter and getting involved. It is also always a pleasure to visit the showroom of Herman Miller, our long-time Chapter supporter.
Registration is free - Please sign up by noon Monday 13th January
Evening generously hosted by Herman Miller
