Description

100 Liverpool Street is the radical redevelopment of an iconic 1980s scheme to create over 520,000 sq ft of contemporary office space, with retail and public realm, in the heart of the City.

The building, adjacent to Liverpool Street Station and the new Crossrail Station, has been extensively rebuilt and extended to create a contemporary commercial asset with three additional floors of office accommodation, a new central, semi-public atrium, three levels of shops, bars and restaurants, and a rooftop restaurant.

A refreshed aesthetic has been achieved internally and externally, with a curved glazed facade, landscaped external terraces, and elegant, flexible lobby spaces, making a significant contribution to the Broadgate area.

The existing building was stripped back to its structural frame, and cores were moved to create a more open and flexible office layout. The existing foundations and a large proportion of the existing steelwork were retained, thereby significantly reducing the embodied carbon in the new building. 100 Liverpool Street received a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating.
